Viya’s design philosophy is inspired by the vibrant and diverse elements of Indian history, myths,and fables. The brand draws upon these rich narratives to create pieces

that carry significance and tell their own stories. Our series of luxury lights and lamps is painstakingly handwrought by a collective of local artisans at Viya. Each lightwork is crafted in brass, a metal steeped in Indian customs and history. Brass is integral to the Viya’s design philosophy. It is beautiful in its contrast–an ‘impure’ metal long associated with purity in Hindu rites, rituals, and architecture. All of our ceiling lights, decorative wall lights, and lamps are handmade in India, with locally-sourced materials.
